The GHS Fund is a Geneva-based nonprofit that supports impact investment in health security innovations.

What is Global Health Security?
“Global health security is a state of freedom from the scourge of infectious disease, irrespective of origin or source. It is achieved through the policies, programmes, and activities taken to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from biological threats… These threats know no borders and have global consequences requiring more effective collective action.”
– From the Sydney Statement on Global Health Security, Global Health Security Network, 2019
What is Impact Investing?
We define Impact Investment as investing – either grant or equity funding – in sustainable, scalable companies or organizations that prioritize making a measurable impact on achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs).
COVID-19 has taught us that innovative solutions to fighting pandemics are both essential and investible. Local innovators are best equipped to create these solutions for their own communities but often lack resources outside of mature innovation ecosystems, most notably access to early stage capital. The private sector can’t just sit back and watch.
We need to support these innovators by actually investing while building confidence for other impact investors to do the same.
